Hi, my name is Mary-Lyn Copeland and I am an experienced Registered Massage Therapist. I graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in 2019 with an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy, where I received the Lackner McLennan Insurance award, given to the student who demonstrates excellence in professional growth and development. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with people facing a variety of challenges such as prenatal, childhood injuries, palliative care, chronic pain, acute injuries, and repetitive strain; I understand every client is unique and each treatment plan must be developed reflect their individual needs. To meet your goals, I utilize a variety of techniques including relaxation, deep tissue, Swedish, cupping, fascial techniques, stretching and hot stones.

In my spare time I can be found, with my children, exploring the trails and lakes of the Kawarthas. I also love to spend quality time with a good book and studying Karate at Jiyu-Shin Karate School.

My name is Kathy Eggenberger and I have had the good fortune of practicing physiotherapy since graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1999. I began my career working at several sports medicine clinics in Vancouver, Victoria and London. I have been practicing in Peterborough since 2003. I opened Optimal Health Physiotherapy in 2015. My current treatment approach is comprehensive and involves a thorough assessment, goal setting, ‘hands on’ treatment and a targeted exercise program. In addition to traditional physiotherapy modalities, I use manual therapy to restore normal joint mobility; acupuncture to control pain; dry needling to decrease muscle tension and shockwave to stimulate healing in chronic soft tissue injuries. I strongly believe in educating my clients about their conditions and providing them with the tools to manage the condition independently. I am a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists, have my BoneFit training from Osteoporosis Canada and have a certification in Acupuncture and Dry Needling from APTEI. When I am not working as a physiotherapist, I spend time coaching the local youth triathlon team, the Peterborough Pirates, and organizing our local cycling club’s Cyclocross Series. I have competed with the Canadian National Rowing Team, at the Canadian National Cyclocross Championships and at several Age Group World Triathlon Championships. In my spare time I can be found playing outside with my husband and two children: skiing, cycling, wake surfing, dirt biking and running. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your journey to optimal health!

Hi, my name is Coreen Hashem and I am an Athletic Therapist at Optimal Health Physiotherapy. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Concordia University in Montreal and certified as an Athletic Therapist in 2018. Throughout the year I work with Trent University’s sports teams and the Peterborough Pagans managing on-field injuries during their games. I also previously worked for two years at Elite Sports Medicine and Conditioning in Whitby rehabbing clients with musculoskeletal injuries in a clinical setting. My therapy approach is to provide you with the education and tools to manage and prevent injuries from occurring through an exercise-based method, keeping you doing the activities you love to do. In my free time I enjoy being active, reading, crafting, and hanging out with friends and family. Being new to living in Peterborough, I am looking forward to trying new restaurants and exploring the variety of hiking trails around the city.
